Aimia foods aim high for Alder Hey
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Aimia Foods for their amazing effort when completing a recent Snowdon by Sunset Walk on behalf of Alder Hey.
11 incredible members of staff rose to the challenge, tackling Wales’s tallest peak to raise an incredible £6754.32 towards refurbishing two parent spaces in our Critical Care Unit, which will provide a calm and peaceful environment for families and staff to use.
Alex Darby, HR Manager, from Aimia Foods said of the event: “We kicked things off just after 4pm and after some serious huffing and puffing, we made it to the summit at 7.30pm, the sunset was breath-taking, and for 20 minutes we felt on top of the world!”
The euphoria was hard to come by, as Alex recalled: “It was super tough, and there were moments when we all thought about throwing in the towel, but we pushed through together, and that’s what makes our team so incredible!”
“I’m beyond proud of everyone that took part and has donated to the cause. I am excited for us to keep the adventurous and charitable spirit alive, continuing to make a positive impact, both in the factory and out in the world.”
With spectacular views to match their generosity, this has been a hugely successful event. We first launched our partnership with Aimia Foods back in April 2023 and so far, they have donated over a thousand units of treats and juice boxes to the children and families at the hospital, as well as donating 4000 Horlicks products to our staff. Aimia Foods are already having a huge impact on the wellbeing of our patients and staff alike, and we can’t wait for what’s to come!
Thank you and well done to everyone at Aimia Foods who took part and got involved along the way, we couldn’t do what we do without your support!
