Staff Spotlight – Meet Sam!
Meet Sam, our Old Swan Assistant Shop Manager
We would like to send a big, big welcome to Sam, who has joined our team as the new Assistant Manager for our Old Swan charity shop! We caught up with Sam down at the shop to have a look around, get to know him, and ask him a few questions so that you, our supporters, can get to know him too. Here’s what he told us…
Q: How would you describe our charity shops in three words?
A: I would describe our shops as Big, Busy, and as having lots of Potential.
Q: What is a daily essential you can’t live without?
A: A daily essential I can’t live without is my jar of Tiger Balm.
Q: What is your all-time favourite charity shop find?
A: My best charity shop purchase would have to be a 48-inch TV. Kind of basic but it was an absolute bargain and exactly what we needed.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the Alder Hey team?
A: I’m most looking forward to watching the company grow and seeing more shops popping up across the region.
Q: Now for the big one… red or blue?
A: I’m 100% red but not the red everyone expects… I’m Nottingham born and bred and Forest forever!
