It’s a Jolly Oli Christmas!
On 12th December, Alder Hey Children’s Charity was delighted to host the first ever Jolly Oli Christmas Concert, live from Liverpool’s iconic St. George’s Hall!
The event was attended by over 300 guests and featured six choirs, who all put on an incredible show that left the crowd wanting more! As one attendee told us: “It was a brilliant show and perfect entertainment for all the family, we all really enjoyed it and it is for such an important cause.”
The concert, which was hosted by Charity Champion Jay Hynd from The Guide Liverpool, is set to raise crucial funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s MediCinema Appeal, which is supporting the installation of a state-of-the-art MediCinema at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which is due to open in 2024. The cinema will provide long-term patients at Alder Hey the opportunity to experience the joy of the big screen, as well as provide invaluable memories for families at the hospital.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the companies who helped to make the event as special as it was. Thank you to Britannia Taxis for sponsoring the event and making it all possible, St. George’s Hall for being the most perfect venue, and Costco UK and Jelly Events Liverpool for providing the tastiest mince pies and sweet cones which went down an absolute treat with our guests!
We would also like to say thank you to the wonderful choirs who joined us on the night and provided us with an evening filled with joyous music. Thank you to Cutting Strings Choir, Sing Me Merseyside, Malvern Primary School, Winners Chapel Choir, Make Noise Choir and The Retrotones, you were all absolutely wonderful!
And finally, an enormous thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, took part in the raffle, or made a donation on the night. Without our supporters we wouldn’t be able to do what we do for patients and families at Alder Hey. Your generosity really makes a difference.
