Liverpool FC Legends Visit Alder Hey to Present Generous £50,000 Donation

Alder Hey Children’s Charity was honoured to welcome Liverpool FC legends John Aldridge and David Fairclough to Alder Hey recently, where they presented an incredibly generous £50,000 donation on behalf of Forever Reds, the club’s official former players association.

This wonderful donation has been used to fund a state-of-the-art incubator for Alder Hey’s neonatal unit, providing vital support for some of our tiniest and most vulnerable patients. The equipment will help our specialist teams continue delivering world-class care to newborns and their families at some of the most critical moments in their lives.

As part of their visit, John and David were given a guided tour of the hospital, meeting staff across clinical areas and learning more about how charitable support directly impacts patient care. Their presence brought a sense of excitement and appreciation among staff and families, many of whom were eager to thank the pair personally.

John Aldridge, Chairman of Forever Reds, said:
