Staff Spotlight: Meet Sam!

Staff Spotlight returns this week as we welcome a new member of staff to Alder Hey Children’s Charity! Sam has recently joined us as a Marketing Officer and is already settling in brilliantly to his new role with our charity team! We caught up with Sam to welcome him to the team and ask him some pressing questions…

Q: How would you describe Alder Hey in three words?

Fun, magical and caring.

Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?

Derby County Football Club.

Q: Tell us something that not many people know about you?

I once came runner-up in a Doritos ultimate superfan competition. Out of 10,000 entries I ended up coming second and I won two boxes of Doritos whilst the winner won £18,000, so there was quite a gap in prizes!

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being part of the Alder Hey team?

Working as part of a team that supports the incredible staff across the hospital that make Alder Hey so amazing for all the brave patients and families.

Q: What was your favourite book as a child?

Mole’s Bedtime Story by David Wood and Richard Fowler. It was interactive and you could slide the mole through the pages, I loved it!
