Leaving a legacy gift to Alder Hey has never been easier, just ask your smart speaker!
In recent years online Will writing has risen by 267%* as people took the opportunity to reflect on the impact they could make on others in the future. Now Alder Hey Children's Charity is the first known charity to help them by harnessing the power of smart speakers to make requesting a Legacy Pack as easy as saying "yes please" to Alexa or the Google assistant.
Together with charity supporter and actress Kate Robbins the charity has created a voice skill for Amazon Echo and Google Nest devices that will allow you to find out a little more about the impact of leaving a legacy to Alder Hey as well as the ability to easily have an information pack, written in plain english, sent direct to your home address.
Gifts in Wills left to Alder Hey transform the lives of young patients and their families, helping develop crucial new treatments, fund state-of-the-art medical equipment and create magical ward experiences during a child’s time at Alder Hey.
As an NHS charity all Alder Hey Charity funds come entirely from donations, events and gifts in wills contributed by donors who want to leave a parting gift that will create a brighter future for the next generation.
To enable the Alder Hey Legacy skills on Alexa simply say "Alexa, open Alder Hey" to your Echo device. To enable the Google skill, just say "Google, talk to Alder Hey" to your Google Assistant (on speaker or smart phone).
