Shirley Ballas opens our relocated Chelsea Garden!

Our amazing Silver Gilt award winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden is now open in the grounds of Alder Hey, ensuring patients, families, staff and the general public can see and experience this wonderful garden for generations to come. Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas officially opened the garden for us on 31st August with the help our children from our nursery.

The Alder Hey Urban Foraging Station will provide a haven for wellbeing and togetherness for all families and staff at Alder Hey. It will also be openly welcoming to the wider community, encouraging local residents to benefit from this unique garden and the foraging experience.

Situated within established parkland, Alder Hey has a unique vision and outlook, incorporating the benefits of being in nature and the powerful impact that green space can have on our mental and physical health.
