Join our virtual charity challenge this New Year and discover how getting fitter, feeling better, and fundraising can make a real difference, for you and for others.
This year, we’re inviting you to take on a brand-new challenge in 2026: 100km in March for Alder Hey Children’s Charity
We’re calling on our amazing supporters to challenge themselves and boost their wellbeing whilst helping to make a difference for thousands of children and families at Alder Hey.
The Challenge
Take on 100 kilometres across the month of March, completing the distance in a way that works for you. Walk, run, cycle, swim or mix it up – whether you’re moving a little each day or tackling bigger distances when you can. Every kilometre completed and every penny raised will make a difference.
This is a virtual challenge, so you can take part from anywhere and fit it around your routine and daily schedules.
How It Works
Simply sign up and get moving throughout March. You’ll track your own progress, share your journey with friends and family and on our dedicated challenge Facebook group, and fundraise to support Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s vital work. Along the way, you’ll be supported with resources, ideas and encouragement from the charity team. Hit key fundraising milestones and you can also receive some exciting free gifts and merch!
Whether this is your first virtual challenge or you’re returning after taking part before, you’ll be part of something meaningful from day one.
Why Take Part?
Every kilometre you complete helps Alder Hey Children’s Charity continue to go above and beyond for young people and their families. Funds raised support the purchase of specialist equipment, innovative research and improvements that make hospital experiences better when it matters most. We call this our ‘Alder Hey magic’, the added little extras that make hospital life brighter for our brave young patients.
Your challenge, your effort and your fundraising all help make a real difference.
Take on the 100km challenge yourself share with friends and family and do it together.
How Can I Get Involved?
Everyone is welcome. Individuals, families, schools, workplaces and community groups can all take part. Join on your own or bring others along – every step counts!
If you loved our previous virtual challenges, you’ll know how powerful they can be. If this is your first, now’s the perfect time to get involved!
Sign up today, get fitter and feel good this New Year by taking on a 100km in March for Alder Hey Children’s Charity and make a difference that really matters.
