Following recent statements from Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust regarding a single cyber-attack that has impacted three NHS organisations including Alder Hey, the charity would like to confirm that we have been advised no donor or benefactor data from Alder Hey Children’s Charity was accessed.
Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust has launched an investigation, which is still ongoing, in an effort to determine the full facts around what data has been obtained unlawfully. Work is continuing with the National Crime Agency to secure impacted systems and to take further steps in line with law enforcement advice.

The Trust advises that patient services remain unaffected and continue to run normally. Patients are advised to continue to attend appointments.
