Jacqui Barker

Jacqui was born in South Wales and grew up in Cheltenham. She graduated from the University of Leeds with a joint German & Management Studies degree.

Jacqui embarked on a career in General Insurance, qualifying as an FCII and moving into HR, where she held a number of senior HR roles with Royal Insurance and RSA. After more than 25 years of service, Jacqui moved to Liverpool family owned employer Bibby Line Group and became HR Director there for more than ten years. She led all aspects of HR and Communications. On retiring early in 2022 she has volunteered locally in her community in Manchester and joined AHCC as Trustee. Her interests include travel, reading and learning Italian. Jacqui chairs the HR Committee and is also a member of the Charitable Spend Committee.
