Orlagh
At four weeks old Orlagh was referred to Alder Hey with the airway condition Laryngomalacia and her Alder Hey journey began; having multiple operations, ICU incubation and lots of hospital stays under the amazing care of Mr Donne and all the teams! And she’s still a regular visitor 10 years on.
Alder Hey holds a special place in Orlagh and all her families hearts and this has been reflected in Orlagh wanting to raise money from an early to help all the other children and young people. So far fundraising has included sponsored bike rides, sponsored walks, table top sales and Orlagh has lots more fundraising ideas and plans for the further. It’s a great honour to be an ambassador for such a wonderful charity.
When asked about what they love about Alder Hey, Orlagh and her mum said: “EVERYTHING! The friendly staff, endless wonderful care and that feeling of being safe and secure even during some of the darker days.”
