Nuala and Jack
At four weeks old Orlagh was referred to Alder Hey with the airway condition Laryngomalacia and her Alder Hey journey began; having multiple operations, ICU incubation and lots of hospital stays under the amazing care of Mr Donne and all the teams! And she’s still a regular visitor 10 years on.
Nuala sees her teams every 3 months, and after the exceptional care Alder Hey have provided, Nuala we knew she wanted to give back. Her mum, Megan said: “We completed the Coniston challenge with family and friends in July, Nuala hosted a PJ day in nursery and Jack organised a celebrating differences day at school to help normalise children with facial differences like his sister and raise money for Alder Hey. In April 2025 I am doing the Big Jump to continue our fundraising and we don’t plan to stop there. Alder Hey is like a family to us and so as a family we want to do all we can to give back to the hospital that saved Nuala’s life.”
