Biography
| Hi, I’m Andrew, Head of Retail at Alder Hey Children’s Charity. I have the privilege of supporting the incredible staff and volunteers who make our charity shops such a success. Our shops do much more than raise vital funds for the charity—they’re also the face of Alder Hey Children’s Charity on the high street. Every day, they help raise awareness of our work and the difference we make to the thousands of children, young people and families who rely on Alder Hey each year. I’m constantly inspired by the generosity of our customers, donors and volunteers, whose support makes so much of what we do possible. The Alder Hey Children’s Charity value that resonates most with me is “Magic.” Whether it’s creating special moments for families, seeing the impact of our supporters’ generosity, or witnessing the dedication of our teams, there’s something truly magical about being part of this charity. Outside of work, when the weather cooperates, I enjoy creating a little magic of my own on the BBQ. Our dog, Pip, is always close by, hoping for the “accidental” treats that seem to magically find their way off the grill |
