Thanks to your incredible support, Alder Hey’s MediCinema is now open for children, young people, and their families to enjoy the magic of cinema from the comfort and safety of our hospital. But we need your help to continue making a difference.
We need your continued support to help us to fund the ongoing running costs of the MediCinema every year. These costs include staffing the cinema with specially trained nurses, ensuring our children and young people can safely experience the latest blockbusters while in our care.

Oliver, an Alder Hey inpatient, experienced the MediCinema magic alongside his mum, dad, and older brother.
“Oliver loved the film and visiting the MediCinema at Alder Hey. He was singing and dancing along and after the past couple of weeks this was really special to see. Oliver has never been to a cinema before, so this truly was a wonderful experience to have time off the ward and have an afternoon of normality.”
