Media City 5K & 10K
Run the Run Media City 5K and/or 10K.
Bring your running shoes to Salford for a fast-lapped race where you can run to beat your PB. Taking in the sights of Media City and Salford's famous canals, Run Media City is a great event whether you are a seasoned runner or a newbie.
Taking place once a month on Thursday evenings from April-September, this race is ideal for those wanting to take part in an organised post-work running event. For new runners or those who want to ease themselves back into the sport, the 5K run takes place over a 2.5K route that is flat and quick. The 5K consists of two laps, which will take you past the BBC and ITV Studios (and the world famous Coronation Street set) as well as the Imperial War Museum North.
Media City 10k run consists of four laps around this urban, yet scenic route. This race is perfect for those who are training for longer runs or are looking to smash their PBs. Whichever race you choose, your entry fee will include a medal, water and post-race goodies!
Don’t forget its possible to run this Manchester 10k and 5K run for charity. If you want to take part in a Run Media City event for a good cause, then why not choose Alder Hey Children's Charity? We raise vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children's hospital a world-leading centre for treatment and research. To find out more about raising money for Alder Hey, click here.
