When is The Colour Run 2019?
Last year, the official Colour Run took place on 8th July in Wembley Park. Whilst the same race isn’t happening again this year, there are still plenty of similar 5k obstacle runs that present a fantastic opportunity to raise money for children’s charities in Liverpool. Please see below where you can take part this year. You don’t have to run the race in Liverpool and Alder Hey Children’s charity will gladly take donations from colour runners everywhere! Charity colour runs in Liverpool include the Colour Obstacle Rush Liverpool, which will be taking place at Aintree Racecourse on 20th July.

Preparing for your colour run
As mentioned above, runners are asked to wear a white t-shirt so that the colour shows up as they are running! As well as your white t-shirt, it is important to bring drinking water to stay hydrated, wear comfortable trainers with enough support for running and a change of clothes for after the race – the obstacle colour run can get a bit messy!
Do I have to train for The Colour Run?
The Colour Run is usually a 5k distance, which measures as 3 miles. Your training will depend on whether or not you are an experienced runner. If you haven’t run before, you are definitely capable of completing The Colour Run, it will just be a case of running the distance before you take part - maybe at your local Parkrun or running track.
