Payroll Giving is an easy way for staff to make regular contributions to Alder Hey Children’s Charity through their wages. The scheme allows donations to be deducted from your wages before tax, making it the most efficient way to give to charity.
For every £1 you give, 80p will be deducted from your income; therefore for an employee giving £10 a month this would only cost £8 (assuming the standard tax rate of 20%). You can alter or withdraw from the scheme at any time.
More information about payroll giving and tax relief can be found here.
If you’re an employee, your company may already have a Payroll Giving scheme so ask your Payroll Team for further details.
If you are an employer and looking for a simple way for your employees to support their chosen charity, Payroll Giving can be a great option. For more information on setting up a Payroll Giving scheme please visit this link.
