Doing your own charity walk in London
If there isn’t an organised charity walk in London that you fancy doing, you can always organise your own sponsored walk around a part of the city that you use to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Making the walk a bit of a personal challenge is a good way to maximise the sponsorship you might be able to gather. However, you should always plan your route and walking challenge carefully, make sure you’re not putting yourself at risk in any way and its always advised that you do charity walks with at least one other person or a group. Make sure you take refreshments with you so you can stay hydrated and fuelled for the whole walk.

To help make it easier for people to sponsor you and donate to the cause, you might want to set up an online fundraising page on either Just Giving or Virgin Giving Money. These sites can deal with gift aid when applicable, as each person donates, and will transfer the money raised to Alder Hey Children’s Charity after the event.
