The Coniston Challenge is one of the most popular fundraising events on the Alder Hey calendar. Including a hike, bike and kayak, it's a challenging twist on a traditional triathlon.
By day, as fundraisers we are tasked with raising the vital funds needed to support research and innovation projects at the hospital, and part of that includes recruiting remarkable people to take on events and challenges throughout the year.
And now, the tables have turned!
Here at Alder Hey Children's Charity we know how challenging (but rewarding!) these events can be, so we've decided to make the experience even more real by entering our own team into the Coniston Challenge.
Like all the other teams (places still available!) we need to raise at least £1,500 plus our £50 registration fee.
We kicked things off by raising over £300 at a cake sale recently, and we've got some other things planned to help us reach our target.
If you'd like to make sure there's no chance of us backing out, we'd really love your support. You can make a donation really easily on our JustGiving page, or you could tweet us a good luck message - we'll need it! :)
