Prolific fundraiser's charity gala night - book now

Prolific fundraiser Mark Peers is holding a Charity Gala Night at Liverpool city centre's Crowne Plaza hotel on Saturday 13 May, to raise money for Alder Hey.

The second annual 'dress to impress' evening will include a drinks reception, three course dinner and live entertainment, as well as a disco and some great prizes to be won.

Tickets are just £40 each and tables of ten are available.

Mark, 24, spent his childhood in and out of Alder Hey and has had over 100 operations. A bone infection in his right leg meant that his bones stopped growing prematurely and this resulted him having his right leg amputated when he was just eight years old. After overcoming all these difficulties, Mark was determined to raise funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Over the last 14 years, Mark has raised thousands of pounds by selling raffle tickets, collecting money and taking part in various challenges and events like a 30 mile Great Wall of China trek and five days trekking the formidable Grand Canyon.

In 2015, Mark was awarded the British Empire Medal (pictured above with Dame Lorna Muirhead DBE) in the Queen's New Year Honours List to acknowledge his incredible fundraising work.
