Local golf club swing into action for Alder Hey

Our local supporters truly are superstars. They go above and beyond to raise money and awareness of the remarkable work that is carried out here at Alder Hey, in the community and the positive impact it has on a global scale.

Local golf club Mossock Hall has raised an amazing £8375.83 during the last year for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Captain Chris Kirkpatrick and Lady Captain Ann Mallison were inspired to fundraise by Chris’s granddaughter Holly, a patient treated by our South Sefton Community Physiotherapy team.

Inspirational Holly, now 11 years old, was born eight weeks premature and diagnosed with cerebral palsy within 18 months. She took part in the Santa Dash 2016 for Alder Hey using a special walking machine and raised an epic £9878.03 for the South Sefton Community Physio team.

The money raised by Mossock Hall Golf Club will also be ring-fenced for the South Sefton Physio team and will benefit children like Holly.

Specialist Physiotherapist Rosemary Turner told us “we are delighted to receive this wonderful donation from Mossock Hall and are very grateful for all their fundraising efforts. The money raised will be used to enhance the lives of the older children we treat.”
