Fundraising for Alder Hey: Take part in Nightrider!

Registration for this year’s Nightrider is about to close, so submit yours as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out! As one of the most popular Alder Hey fundraising events (and for good reason!), Nightrider is the city’s infamous cycling challenge, where those taking part battle around either a 50km or 100km course through the streets of Liverpool and Wirral, in order to raise money for charity.

Nightrider 2017 is taking place on the night of Saturday 15th July 2017, all the way through into the early hours of Sunday morning. No matter which route you choose to take part in, whether it’s the 50km option or the incredible 100km challenge, all Nightriders will be able to enjoy some of Liverpool’s most iconic landmarks along the way. Sites such as the Albert Dock, Penny Lane, Anfield and Goodison, as well as stunning views of the city centre from over the water at Port Sunlight.

Previously described as one of the best summer nights out in Liverpool, Nightrider is the perfect combination of raising money for charity, getting plenty of exercise, immersing yourself in a physical challenge and seeing the stunning sites of Liverpool. The best bit? It’s not timed or classed as a race, so the party-like atmosphere goes on until every Nightrider has completed their course.

The courses are designed as two 50km loops with centrally located start / break / finish points. Those taking part can opt for either the Liverpool or the Wirral loop - or both!  Just ensure that you choose the correct Start Wave for the loop that you'd like to do. There is support, back up and regular break stops through the courses, as well as a fantastic breakfast and medal at the finish line.

What are you waiting for? Don’t miss out – we have a limited number of spaces for the Alder Hey cycling team this year. Registration is £39, minimum sponsorship is £200 and you will receive a fundraising pack including a brand new limited edition Alder Hey cycling top!
