DTM Legal chooses Alder Hey as charity of the year
DTM Legal has chosen to support Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as its charity of the year 2018 – 2019.
To start the fundraising year, Kate Roberts, partner at DTM Legal will cycle over 360 miles to raise money for the children’s hospital.
To support Kate on her charity cycle, the firm will match the number of miles cycled by Kate in DTM’s offices based over Chester and Liverpool.
Kate said, “I’m looking forward to the cycle! Training is getting easier which is a good sign! I’ve already received so many kind donations, we’re so grateful.”
The DTM Legal team will start cycling from the 5th June and hope to finish before Kate, who starts on the 6th of June and finishes on the 9th June!
Jim Morris, who is a partner at the firm, comments on the exceptional work that goes on at the hospital. “My son, James, was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with a life threatening condition. It was terrifying to be in that situation as a parent and I am so grateful for the exceptional work, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital carried out.
“James is now a super healthy 12 year old who loves playing football, rugby and cricket - thanks to the expertise Alder Hey provided.”
Staff and partners at DTM Legal have already signed up and taken part in a host of fundraising activities for the year, including Oli’s Safari Walk and other cycling challenges!
Hayley Thomas, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Alder Hey Children's Charity, said "DTM Legal are fantastic supporters of Alder Hey so we were delighted to hear about Kate’s cycle from London to Amsterdam to raise money for the hospital. Not only did Kate cycle hundreds of miles for us but her team back in the office matched her miles on static bikes to raise awareness and help her with raising as much money as possible. The dedication of all the staff has been fantastic and we are looking forward to another great year of fundraising with the team!"
