A message from our CEO
19th March 2020
To our family of Alder Hey supporters,
As you know, our NHS is currently facing one of the biggest challenges in recent history. Our inspiring hospital friends and colleagues are working relentlessly to continue to support our children and their families, and they need our help right now.
Alder Hey Charity stands with our NHS colleagues in solidarity as we face uncertainty in difficult times and we appreciate you being with us through these times more than words can express.
The current health crisis has meant that we have already had to cancel some of our events and let our supporters know, and we continue to review future events and fundraising activities. These fundraisers not only remind us how lucky we are to have valued supporters like you, but how they are a crucial source of revenue to us as they help make Alder Hey the amazing place it is.
The charity is proud to be here on our child-friendly hospital campus, supporting our NHS as it provides the highest level of care, year in year out, and even now under the greatest of pressure. Families of babies, children and young people at Alder Hey already face challenges and worry, regardless of the current situation. We will continue to be at their side and we couldn’t do that without you.
As the country pulls together to support each other many people are finding ways to help friends, neighbours and their communities. Continuing your support for Alder Hey Children's Charity enables us to be there for our young patients when they need us most.
Few of us will remember a time when community, kindness and compassion have been more important than now. Everyone here sends their very best to you and your loved ones and thanks you for your loyalty, friendship and generosity.
Best wishes,
Fiona Ashcroft
