“I have been coming to Alder Hey since I was small and I am very grateful for all the help the doctors and nurses have given me. Following an operation in December 2021 I had wanted to do a sponsored walk to raise money for the hospital but unfortunately my mobility has not been good enough so along with my sister we decided to do something else.

“During lock down my sister started to make fudge and sell it to our neighbours and friends so we decided we wanted to make more fudge to raise money for Alder Hey. The organisers of the Winter Market in Manchester agreed to let us have a stall at the Christmas Fair in December and we spent the whole of the week before making and packaging it. We designed how we wanted the stall to look and on the day we sold out, making lots of money for the hospital. Everyone said the fudge was delicious, we had a great time running the stall and we plan to do it again this year.”
