Successful applicants will be made aware on 31st July 2026. \nApplying for our ballot could not be simpler. All you need to do is fill in the form attached to the ‘Register Now’ button at the top of this page. Complete all aspects of the form (including sending your up-to 60 second video) and wait for your confirmation email to arrive in your inbox. Anyone who is successful in the ballot has committed to raise the minimum amount of £2750. We ask that all successful runners set up a online giving page and raise at least 80% 4 weeks prior to race day. You will then have 4 weeks after the event to raise the remainder. \nWill there be support to help me reach my fundraising target? \nYes\, the team will be on hand throughout your London Marathon journey to help you reach your target. Remember\, this is your fundraising you are responsible for achieving the minimum sponsorship. We can provide you with hints\, tips and promotional resources. \nWhat training support will be provided? \nWe encourage all runners to sign up to Nike Run Club as this is a free service for training plans. If you receive a place in the official London Marathon ballot we ask that you contact community@alderheycharity.org to let us know so we can remove you from our charity ballot. You can still choose to be a part of Alder Hey Children’s Charity London Marathon team by setting up your JustGiving page here. \nWill I receive a top to run in? \nYes! You will receive one of our Alder Hey running boxes which includes a fully branded top. \nWill I be notified if I’m unsuccessful in the Alder Hey Children’s Charity ballot? \nYes\, we will contact all unsuccessful applicants if they are unsuccessful in the ballot. \nWhat support will there be on the weekend of the London Marathon? \nThe Alder Hey Children’s Charity team will be there on the day of the marathon with a cheering point. DESCRIPTION:We are looking for thrill-seeking fundraisers from all over the country to take on a sponsored freefall parachute jump whilst raising invaluable funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity! \nThis exciting challenge is for one day only! This will take place at Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham Lancaster. \nAll you need to do to take part for Alder Hey Children’s Charity is click the registration button on this page. There is a £50 deposit to secure your place. You have to commit to raising a minimum of £400 in sponsorship. £200 needs to of been received two weeks before your jump. \nWithout the support of charitable donations from our fantastic supporters\, many of the outstanding facilities and innovations at Alder Hey could not be achieved. \nYour help and fundraising is vital in helping us continue our work. DESCRIPTION:To view further information on the Kilimanjaro event please email community@alderheycharity.org\n\nMount Kilimanjaro is a magnet for trekkers the world over and one of the most impressive charity events on offer. \nIts snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit\, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing our limits both physically and mentally on this\, the mightiest of charity challenges. \nThis 11 day trek which follows the beautiful Machame Route\, approaching Kilimanjaro from the south. Our route has been designed allowing gradual acclimatisation to the altitude – with an extra day included from the more traditional Machame Route\, this gives us the platform for summit success.  With our exceptional support and care combined with highly trained leaders and medics\, we will achieve and conquer the toughest of treks together as one. \nOur trek takes us through dense tropical rainforest\, moorland and scree until we reach Uhuru Peak\, the highest point. This is one of the most challenging charity treks at altitude\, climbing one of the most impressive mountains in the world.
