Tough Mudder 2019
Run for Alder Hey in a Tough Mudder challenge in 2019! A mud-filled obstacle course race that ranges from 5km to 10 miles, Tough Mudder is a fun-filled endurance challenge that is not for the faint-hearted. Unlike many races, there are no podium winners or clocks to beat, instead it's a challenge that's all about teamwork and camaraderie.
Originally created by a former British Counter Terrorism Officer and a corporate lawyer, Tough Mudder is based on aspects of training that British Special Forces undertake. Each course has a number of obstacles that have included a six foot plus wall known as the Mudderhorn, swinging over muddy watery pools in the Leap of Faith, commando crawling under muddy pipes in Hydrophobia and wading through a water pit.
2018 saw the launch of the Tough Mudder’s 5k challenge and its back for 2019. Featuring 13 obstacles, this race is the perfect introduction to Tough Mudder. Ideal for friends and colleagues to band together for a fun-filled day of mud and team bonding.
If you're looking for more of a challenge, why not sign up for the Tough Mudder Classic. Made up of 25 obstacles over 8-10 miles of track, this year’s Classic courses feature new obstacles that will test your physical and mental strength, as well as your teamwork skills.
So, if you want a challenge in 2019, sign up you and your friends to take on Tough Mudder for Alder Hey.
