Blackpool Marathon

Event Ended This event has now finished.

Are you based in the North West and looking for a running event to take part in to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity? Look no further! With stunning scenery (as well as plenty of landmarks and tourist spots along the way!) and runners of all abilities taking part, the Blackpool Marathon is ideal for those who are looking for an event that is both challenging, and heaps of fun.

An established event in its own right, the Blackpool Marathon is a great alternative to disappointed runners who didn't get a place in the London Marathon. If you're looking for running events in the North West, the iconic Blackpool promenade plays host to the annual Blackpool Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k.

If you are taking part in the Blackpool Marathon, half marathon or 10k to raise money for Alder Hey, why not make yourself stand out by doing it in fancy dress?! You could dress up as our mascot, Oli the Elephant, by wearing all blue – or even ask your friends and family what they think you should wear! Or, if you prefer to be more streamlined, make sure you still wear your base layers as it can get chilly down by Blackpool Promenade.
