Join us in the stunning surroundings of Snowdonia\, within Eryri National Park\, as we take our triathlon to new heights in support of Alder Hey Children’s Charity. \nThis year promises to be bigger and better than ever\, as we are teaming up with eight of Liverpool’s most recognisable children’s charities to bring you an unforgettable event that will make a life-changing difference for children and young people across our region. This will be the first event of its kind in uniting these charities\, and you can be a part of it! \nThe Challenge \nGather your team of four and take on our unique triathlon of: \n15km hike \n15km cycle \n3km kayak \nAll set against the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia’s mountains\, lakes\, and valleys — offering some of the most incredible views you’ll ever experience while taking on a challenge. Full location details will be provided after registration. \nWhat kind of bike should I bring? \nWe recommend a road or hybrid bike for the on-road cycling route. Mountain bikes are allowed\, especially if that’s what you’ve trained on\, but they may not be ideal for the terrain. \nCan I use an e-bike? \nYes\, e-bikes are welcome! Just note that teams using e-bikes won’t be eligible for fastest finisher awards to keep things fair. \nHow do I arrange bike hire? \nOnce you’ve signed up\, you’ll have the option to request bike hire. This comes at an extra cost and includes: \n\nBike for event use\nHelmet\nDelivery and collection\nSetup support at registration\nOvernight secure storage\nMechanic support on event day\n\nWhere should we stay? \nAccommodation is up to you and your team. SUMMARY:Santa Paddle
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Christmas cracker of a fundraising challenge at our annual Santa Paddle on Saturday 28th November!\nGather your friends and family in groups of two\, six or individuals and head on down to Liverpool Watersports Centre\, where we will be holding a 2.5km kayak parade through the iconic Liverpool waterfront\, past must see sights such as the M&S Bank Arena\, Albert Dock and even the Liver Building dressed in Christmas lights and decorations. \nJoin us in lighting up the iconic Royal Albert Docks with a convoy of lighted kayaks and canoes for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. The route goes from the Liverpool Watersports Centre\, Queen’s Dock passing through the Albert Dock and back round. \nMake sure to get involved by bringing all the lights and decorations you need and dressing your kayak to be in with a chance of winning the best dressed kayak competition!\nAlso make sure to dress appropriately for the activity and the winter weather. Festive dress encouraged!\n\nYou will be given a time slot between on the day of the event to come down and decorate your boat. During this time you will also receive your safety brief. Please note that attending your given time slot is required to your taking part in the event. Return at your given time sot to get ready to get into your boat! Refreshments available at centre.\n\n\n  \nDistance: 2.5km (approx. 1 hr) \nMinimum age to take part: 8 years old. Please note: one adult per boat must accompany any participant under the age of 18 \nSuitable for all abilities. \nRegistration and minimum sponsorship: \nIndividual– Reg: £35 Min Sponsorship: £150 \nTeam of two– Reg: £60 Min Sponsorship: £300 \nTeam of six– Reg: £165 Min Sponsorship £900 \nSafety Boat – Reg: £30. SUMMARY:Kilimanjaro Trek
DESCRIPTION:Mount Kilimanjaro is a magnet for trekkers the world over and one of the most impressive charity events on offer. \nIts snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit\, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing our limits both physically and mentally on this\, the mightiest of charity challenges. \nThis 11 day trek which follows the beautiful Machame Route\, approaching Kilimanjaro from the south. Our route has been designed allowing gradual acclimatisation to the altitude – with an extra day included from the more traditional Machame Route\, this gives us the platform for summit success.  With our exceptional support and care combined with highly trained leaders and medics\, we will achieve and conquer the toughest of treks together as one. \nOur trek takes us through dense tropical rainforest\, moorland and scree until we reach Uhuru Peak\, the highest point. This is one of the most challenging charity treks at altitude\, climbing one of the most impressive mountains in the world.
